Moving Day
- Be available when the movers arrive
- Discuss the delivery arrangements fully with your Furniture Removalist.
- Have beds stripped and ready to be packed.
- Read the Move-To Terms and conditions
- Tell your mover all relevant contact information and keep your mobile on.
Delivery
Be present when your goods are loaded on pickup and unloaded on delivery. An inventory of your goods will be made by the removalist and it is important to resolve any disagreements prior to signing the inventory. Make sure all items are labelled and even numbered. Have valuable items listed separately and take any cash, jewellery etc with you in person.
Generally, your belongings will be transported in a rigid removalist truck however in some cases it could be a semi-trailer. This helps to keep your costs down but access needs to be okay for the vehicle so please check access to your street and property and inform us if access may be an issue. In some cases a ferry vehicle such as a ute may be required to start or complete the move. Make sure the Removalist knows how to contact you at all times. If you cannot be reached at destination, the mover may place your shipment in storage to avoid delaying other shipments. This can mean additional charges for storage and handling and we don’t want that. The driver will call with ample warning and advise you of a time window when delivery will be.
